Services/Activities
TALC New Vision services are available to new small school development teams created within “A New Vision of Secondary Education,” funded by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Existing schools that wish to participate in development activities should contact TALC New Vision.
Services Offered
TALC New Vision provides leadership development in the following areas for groups interested in creating new small schools:
- Learning, Achievement, and Equity
- Instructional Practice
- Leadership for the New Vision
- School Culture and the Exercise of Power
Assistance in achieving the goals set forth in the “New Vision of Secondary Education in Milwaukee” grant is delivered by TALC New Vision in a variety of ways, including:
- Critical Friends Group Training
- Mentoring
- Data Collection
Additionally, TALC New Vision assists small school groups by sharing information about:
- Sound Fiscal Management
- Model Schools (including site visits)
